In additional to Si thin film solar cell, II-V and III-V chemical compound materials are also showing a very promising future in new generation thin film solar cells, including Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS), Copper Indium Selenide (CIS), CuInGaSeS (CIGSS), CdTe, CdS, GaAs, Ge and more.
At CVD Equipment Corporation, we provide systems for several of the key processes in making compound based thin film solar cells.
Selenization and Sulfurization
One of the methods to make CIGS, CIS, and CIGSS thin film solar cell is to make CuInGa film by a sputtering method then introduce selenium and sulfur at a high temperature at the presence of selenium and sulfur vapor. The selenization and sulfurization process can be done by rapid thermal processing using precursors like diethylselenide (DESe) and H2S.
We provide selenization and sulfurization equipment for batch process used in research and roll to roll systems for large scale production. Please contact factory for details.
Multi-junction Photovoltaic Cell
Multi-junction Photovoltaic Cells have the highest efficiency among all solar cells. It is used in a special application like satellite and space shuttle, and in concentrators for regular solar power generation.
Multi-junction photovoltaic cells consist of several semiconductor materials like GaAs, Ge and GaInP2 that can be produced by our MOCVD reactor.
